The Heart Behind Framework 119

A personal introduction from Paul Christopher

My name is Paul Christopher, and I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

One question has increasingly shaped the way I approach God's written Word:

What should what I just read cause me to become?

Reading Scripture is important. Understanding what it communicates is essential. But I have come to believe that we must also ask how what we read should affect the way we think, speak, make decisions, treat others, and live each day.

That conviction is at the heart of Framework 119.

The name comes from Psalm 119, particularly verse 105, which describes God's Word as a lamp for our feet and a light for our path.

I believe we need that light.

My desire is to know God more deeply through His Son, Jesus Christ, and to live in a way that honors Him—not merely through what I say I believe, but through obedience, humility, compassion, and love for others.

I am especially drawn to the instructions to love God, love our neighbors, bear one another's burdens, and produce spiritual fruit.

These are not simply ideas I want to teach. They are convictions I want to live.

I also recognize that spiritual growth is a continuing journey. There are lessons to learn, weaknesses to confront, mistakes to acknowledge, and times when we must repent, seek forgiveness, and begin again.

Perseverance matters.

Framework 119 grew from my desire to encourage people to open the Bible for themselves, understand Scripture in its context, and consider what faithful obedience looks like in everyday life.

My hope is that these resources will help people discover the Good News of Jesus Christ, grow in their understanding of God's Word, and demonstrate His love through the way they treat others.

I do not want Framework 119 to become a substitute for Scripture, a local community of believers, or a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

The Bible is the message we are seeking to understand. Jesus Christ is the One we are called to follow. Framework 119 is simply a resource intended to help people along that journey.

If something here encourages you to open God's Word, seek Him more earnestly, love someone more deeply, carry another person's burden, or remain faithful when life becomes difficult, then this work is serving its intended purpose.

My prayer is that God will work in me before He works through me, and that anything accomplished through Framework 119 will ultimately bring glory to Him.

Hear. Understand. Obey. Walk. Bear Fruit. Remain Faithful.
