Framework 119 · Gospel-sharing initiative
Sow the Word
One bookmark. One conversation. One opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
We call people who freely take part in this outreach Good News Sowers. It is an invitation to serve, not a title of rank or a claim that someone has joined a formal organization.
The biblical picture
Jesus identifies the seed in the parable as God's Word (Luke 8:11). Paul explains that some plant and others water, but God gives the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).
Our role is to share faithfully, with humility and love. We cannot control another person's response, and we should never pressure someone to listen or accept a bookmark.
How to be a Good News Sower
- Share the Good News with someone who is interested, online or in conversation.
- Offer a Gospel bookmark when printed copies become available, respecting the person's choice to accept or decline.
- Listen carefully, answer honestly, and point people toward Scripture rather than toward an individual personality.
- Encourage a next step, such as beginning to follow Jesus, without promising any particular outcome.
- Pray for those you meet and look for practical opportunities to show compassion.
